It has been a year since the Affinity Test and I haven't been able to spark even a single piece of magic, and I learned that there are 6 magic elements in this world. Fire, Wind, Water, Earth, Light and Dark, while the former two are rather uncommon they aren't rare, I heard there are hundreds if not thousands of users but compared to those with the 4 other elements they truly are a minority.

I also learned that each element is composed of 3 variants and even though I had affinity for shadow which was a variant of dark magic I could still use the other two variants corrosion and mind, I would just have a greater link to shadows while if someone with affinity to the general element would have equal affinity to all 3 variants.

Although I had worries I decided to put them on the back of my head and focus on the present. I was currently in my parents bed laying while my mother put my baby clothes on me while father sewed. It appears as if father is the most sensible of the two despite not showing it. He was a calm and composed man but one that showed his soft side from time to time it was almost cute.

I also learned that we are currently living in a medium-sized town called Trum which is part of the Marchistate of Tumlin in The Empire, what's the name of this Empire? It is simply called The Empire because although there are small kingdoms around it is the only Empire of the Continent but unfortunately I do not know the name of the Continent we live on nor this world's.

This did indeed prove that I am in another world altogether though as I have never heard of a country or kingdom like this.

Which is both exciting and terrifing, i will have so much to learn and uncover and the concept of magic is so trilling, but i will also have to re-learn my ethics and morals this is a world that seems to be on the tecnological level of late mideaval era on its turning point, and i doubt that they have the same morals towards things like war and murder as my previous world.

But right now I set my mind on learning as much as possible to grasp how much of the so-called reincarnator talent and intelligence I can demonstrate and trying to learn how to use magic.

Unfortunately magic wasn't an easy thing to do. I tried to figure out daylong but I just couldn't figure out how to do it.

One year later.

I am now 2 years and 9 months old and today is my sister Sophie's 4th birthday.

She spent the whole day running around the house or at least as much as she could, always with a huge smile plastered on her face.

Suddenly my father opener the wooden door of the backyard, i noticed my parents going out more and more these past few days they usually tried to keep themselves at home to take care of us.

My father walked slowy to my sister and held her in his arms right before taking her to the backyard.

I thought he was just gonna get Sophie but he came back and brought me as well.

My sister was laying on the grass in the garden looking at me with her huge brown eyes and dark blond hair and was just waiting for father to come back.

Once my father put me next to Sophie he sat down as well, facing us two. He smiled softly and said: “Well, Sophie, this is your first lesson of Magic. We won’t do much just a few basic steps like mana circulation".

I felt a bitter disappointment as I realized that my parents wouldn't teach me like my sister and I would just lay next to her looking at all the exercises.

I sighed internally but gave in to the feeling storm and instead watched my father teaching Sophie exercises because I could probably learn something from what he taught my sister.
