This is about an assassin named Aaron Fritter. He is a member of an organization known as the Council of Shadows. He fails a contract and as his punishment, he is assigned a rookie assassin who is also a fan of his. They get put on a contract involving a high member of a powerful family. They’re supposed to escort this member from the city to another country to try and keep them from going to war. During the journey there, they come face to face with a group of bad guys who are trying to summon an evil being so they can have unlimited power.
