Synopsis
In a universe where humanity worships the machines it no longer understands, Khepri is nothing more than flesh. A slave to the Grafted Choir, a fanatical cult of body-modifying zealots, his body is a patchwork of scars and grafts, harvested again and again in the name of their grotesque faith.
When the Choir embarks on a Harvest of Echoes—a quest to hunt a psionic beast and plunder the eyes of the jackal-like Kynari—Khepri is thrust into the heart of their horrors. Forced to serve as the personal page of Cantor Malek, a Fleshmancer whose body is a nightmare of flesh and machine, Khepri begins to lose pieces of himself: his eye, his arm, his skin.
But as the Choir descends into the psionic jungles of a forgotten world, Khepri discovers a truth that could shatter the foundations of the Ammu Dynasty—and his own shattered identity. In a universe where faith is power and flesh is currency, Khepri must decide: will he reclaim his humanity, or become the monster they’ve made him?
A dark, Egyptian-inspired dystopia of body horror, twisted faith, and the cost of power, this is a story of transformation, rebellion, and the search for meaning in a world that has forgotten its own soul.
