Red, a former gangster like his father, finds comfort in his spectral companion, Death, who he can see and talk to. During his darkest times, Death is always there to support him. Red meets Windy, and despite a tumultuous relationship and her initial infidelity, they reconcile. Windy's mother, disliking Red's past.
