AVC Synopsis Eilidh Moss is a centuries old vampire who now lives a quiet life running her bookstore that specializes in occult and rare literature. She lives in the town of Redbough that was created as a haven for the outsiders of all races, including humans. In fact, it was modeled after a human town. She is close to her daylighter, a human assistant that takes care of her daily needs. She has sired two daughters, one that is no longer speaking to her. When Eilidh's sire-daughter is murdered by witches, Eilidh vows to find her murderer and punish them; however, she b\egins to display symptoms of The Tediums, which is an illness that ancient vampires often succumb to. Vampires suffering from The Tediums are literally bored out of their minds.  Eilidh becomes severely depressed after Reagan's death and attempts suicide by walking out into the sun. Miriam saves her and it becomes apparent that Miriam appears to be experiencing some of the same symptoms as Eilidh but, as far as they know, humans don't get The Tediums. While Eilidh and Miriam are puzzling this out, they discover that Reagan is not, in fact, dead but is extremely angry with Eilidh. She and Miriam, along with some help from another human and Eilidh's vampire sister must discover why Reagan plotted her own death, why Reagan hates her and why they are both experiencing symptoms of The Tediums.
