It seems my first post is going to be fanfiction.  I'm okay with this.  It's set in the universe of rising indie author Mikhail J Clive .  His Masks of Steel universe, specifically.  It's a delightful universe with a richly fleshed out history and many thrilling characters.  I'm eager to see what he does with it. This story involves one of the more involved fight scenes I've ever written.  Hope I did it and the characters justice.  It's important to challenge characters and I ran with the premise of putting Tyras, the steppe lion war hero, into a situation that his fellows underestimated the severity of.  War torn countries plagued with supply chain raids, trying to recover, and a man mad with revenge.
