The Empire of Patria has turned what used to be a series of border skirmishes into a war of atrocities, and the world has punished them for it severely. Their forces lay in disarray across the continent, the last vestiges of their once-grand military pushed back to their capital. Two soldiers, upon receiving the news of their fatherland's demise, spend their final days as citizens of Patria in a forgotten farmhouse behind enemy lines, far from what remains of their comrades.  This is a story about two soldiers in the final days of a terrible war, certain of the terrible fate that awaits all Patrian soldiers when it is over. They are two completely different people, coping with their eventual doom in very different ways; one through seemingly boundless optimisim and a desire to use her last days to the fullest, and the other through resignation and acceptance of his nation's crimes, as well as the role he played in their perpetration. Cue slice-of-life antics under threat of impending doom.
