When the improbable happens you either adapt or you cease to exist. I adapted, most did not. The problem is that we are not the only ones who have adapted and as life would have it the universe is really out to get you. Oh, and the universe is big and full of monsters. Luckily those who are willing to live and not just exist can make the universe bend to their will and reforge reality as they see fit, or so the legend says. So far just existing is hard enough.
