Synopsis
Vernon Crosby never aspired for romance, in his real life or in his dreams.
Unfortunately for him, his opinion doesn't matter.
Forced into a divine game of make-believe through a clerical error, 25-year-old social recluse Vernon is far from the best actor for a leading role in a bloody, imperialistic Romeo and Juliet love story, but at least when the story has concluded he gets to go home, right?
Maybe if he wasn't made the Juliet of our story, he might.
Can our prospective Lead successfully woo the prince, save the empire and manage a court of sweet words and bitter poison, or will the noble Lady Vernon Crosby die in ignominy, and stay dead the second time round?
If only he got the chance to read the book he's supposedly living through.
