Synopsis
In the Northmost Peninsula, the New Cities are recovering from centuries of invasion and occupation. The Rightmakers' Lodge enforce the Starlit Order, so that they might rebuild the astrological culture lost during the occupation. In their quest to restore this culture, they invoke celestial magic that grows stronger and weaker as the constellations move across the sky, and speak in the old mannerisms of their slaughtered ancestors. It is a time of change, recovery, and uncertainty.
So when the great city of Winhurst West is consumed by a devastating coup, and the Rightmakers’ leader, the Justicar, refuses to intervene, the cultural recovery is endangered. The city's hastily-assembled new leadership has to grapple with the approaching Rightmakers, throwing their whole legitimacy into question. A story told from many different perspectives, this is a struggle for both celestial and political power.
Above these insignificant matters of mortals, the stars gleam brighter than ever.
