Awakening from a cryptic slumber, a man emerges from a capsule, not knowing who he is or why he is there. All he knows are splinters of his past and that something was implanted in his head that will eventually trigger a nightmarish metamorphosis. He joins a crew of eccentric characters on his journey to cure themselves, each carrying their own mysteries. As he faces the phantoms of his past, he unearths darker secrets about himself, and is set on a race to preserve all he holds dear lest his nightmares become a reality. A Dark Urge playthrough with a few personal twists and call-backs to greater DND lore. I was inspired to write this after finishing my second playthrough of Baldur’s Gate 3 and wanted to share a grander story.
