This story contains spoilers for both Library of Ruina and Wandering Inn in general, and follows/diverges from the former's true ending and epilogue. When the Library was ejected by the Head from the Nest of L Corp., it was meant to be flung somewhere far, far away, in the furthest reaches of the Outskirts. Instead, the entire thing was flung straight into another world, owing to a thinning of the boundaries caused by a certain [King] and his attempt to recruit heroes from another world. They did not land in the Blighted Kingdom, like most of the ones transported from Earth, but in the inhospitable desert of Zeikhal, where no nation can survive and only the desperate and exiled roam. The books of her guests have been lost, the Abnormalities put back to sleep, and the Patron Librarians unsustainable with her Light shattered, Angela must rely on her companion, Roland, with whom she has just reconciled. With his body newly-human and hers a reverted machine, they must learn to live again in a world with magic beyond any singularity, monsters from storybooks and a world wider than the cramped City they used to be shackled in...if only they can survive a desert the size of the continental United States and make contact with anyone.
