A young man joins a group of independent contractors hired to protect a small frontier town, and finds he he has signed up for the adventure of a lifetime.  violence, corruption, and intrigue surround the town, but it all presents an opportunity for Doriyn and his new friends to carve out a place of their own in a dangerous world.
