You ever wondered what it would be like to get transported to another world? A world of fantastic creatures, divine beings, and magical energies? Dirk doesn't have to wonder, he's living that reality right now. Well, not for long. * * * This is a story that I am writing on a whim because I think there ought to be more "realistic" isekai out there, by which I mean not LitRPGs. I considered adding the Grimdark tag because my ultimate goal here is to create something that feels a little more grounded in reality, which going by the Grimdark tag is something that falls under that umbrella. Ultimately I decided against it as I'm not really trying to create a bleak world where the only mythical thing is joy and everything is terrible, even if some aspects of the world aren't as sunshine and rainbows as most fantasy is. Let me know after a few chapters if you think I ought to include it or not, please??? * * * Tags are indicative of what I have in mind for the story, but are subject to change. Gore and Traumatising Content are turned on to allow for such scenes if I feel they are needed, but as of right now they are not features in this story.
