Cosmic demons that consume souls like corporations consume their consumers. Joaquim, at fourteen years old, believes that is what awaits him if he does not change his path. He has the passage that condemns his kind memorized like a hologram that follows his irises. He obeys the last messiah that will save the human race, and only the human race. The messiah plans to bring down a flying city, and one chess piece on the board will be Joaquim as a double agent. The identity he creates inside the flying city is his true self: Joaquim Wami. However, his pious older brother is suspicious of him and he worries that he will no longer have a sister one way or another. Joaquim executes phases of the messiah's plan until he joins the ranks of supersoldiers in 2 platoon. Their heartfelt acceptance gets him to waver.  He gets entangled in galactic dealings arranged by a profiteering fashionista that shares her consciousness among cybernetic bodies, and a movement lead by a talking lion programming whispers of a revolution. As the messiah's plan comes closer to fruition, it gets harder to deduce who is an ally or a foe. The messiah then discovers Joaquim's blossoming apostasy through his brother and gives Joaquim an ultimatum: either change back and kill 2 platoon's commander that has adopted him as his son, or die along with the flying city. A LITTLE GOD IN MY HANDS is a profoundly emotional battle shounen with a pinch of dark humor that takes place in a New Weird setting.
