Synopsis

Waking up on a beach, sun shining down on you, birds calling in the air and not a single other person around is a dream for some people. For Jay, it's just the start of his nightmare. Washed ashore on a deserted island with no memories of who he is or how he got here, the only guidance Jay has are the blue boxes that suddenly appeared and the less than helpful and exceedingly sarcastic voice in his head that keeps making references to things Jay could not begin to understand. Unfortunately for Jay, he is just a pawn in a greater game being played in the background with stakes to large to imagine. Join Jay on his quest to discover more of the System and hopefully, one day, recover his memories. This will be... A Journey To Remember.   This story is a collaboration between two amateur writers. We have made up tons of stories over the years but this is our first attempt at actually writing one down. At the moment we are still in the process of finding our rhythm, but we wanted to post the prologue and first chapter as a test case to see if anyone is actually interested in the story. I can't say the story is all that unique in the beginning as it follows the classic tropes associated with most litrpg/isekai webnovels. However, that is only for the beginning. Twist and turns will abound as we progress through the story, with book 1 being completely planned out. If you enjoy other litrpgs/isekai/system novels on this site, you will most likely enjoy this one as well as it is somewhat of an homage to other books in the genre and tries to combine the best of their worlds. We do appreciate any constructive criticism and suggestions you can give. After discussing it, we have decided to post 5 chapters then stop uploading for a while. We will continue to write the story and hopefully finish book 1 within the next month. We will then start uploading again. We are trying to get a backlog of chapters so we can maintain a consistent release schedule. Unfortunately life is getting in the way atm and causing us to rush chapters more than we would like. Thank you for your support so far, be sure to check back in the future.
