In Gaia, heroes are made, never born. Either through sacrifice or a flash of inspiration, the gods will grant unimaginable strength to their chosen. Those blessed by them will then be a source of entertainment for the gods or serve them a different, heroic purpose. Raymond is Gaia's current hero in the long line of heroes of their world. However, most of those heroes did nothing grand besides being the face of the church, as during their time there was no great evil to purge or demon kings to slay. But that is not always the case. "White hair, pale skin, and red eyes." That was the description of the next demon king, according to the kingdom's prophets. And just as there are heroes, there should be demon kings too to complete the pair. And it just so happens that the current demon king is someone Raymond knows well. Will Raymond be able to do his duty, or will he defy the will of the heavens? --------------------------------------------------------- This is just a short story for what I have envisioned in this setting. AHB is supposed to be an introduction to their world and history. I plan on making a sequel or prequel after this.
