Anyone who's read anything from the genre knows how it goes. The protagonist dies in the contemporary world and wakes up in one full of magic and monsters. I'm quite familiar with the concept myself and was frankly looking forward to all the tropes of being the over-powered hero of another world. There was, however, one tiny but critical detail that tends to get left out of many such stories:When I was transferred to this other world, the fantasy became my reality. And reality hurts.
