Synopsis
I had spent years and countless hours training, mastering my profession. I have helped people lived. I have watched people die. Throughout I have seen the effects of a soulless medical system. I was counting down the days until I could…sell out. At least, that was the plan before a stroke code went horribly wrong…
Dr. Daniel Burkhart, medical prodigy and burnout, was weeks from finishing his residency and hanging up his stethoscope and for a cushy consulting gig. However, a freak accident upends his plans and throws him into a whole new world and a life of debt. In this new land, magic rules, Humans are despised, and [Healers] can heal wounds in a blink of an eye. Just how useful is a man of science with years of medical knowledge but without a shred of magic?
Author's Notes:
This novel is a slow-burn. It has a slice-of-life elements intermixed with action and medical drama. It is written in a first person deep POV. There is a heavy focus on character development and world building, and it is a bit lighter on LitRPG elements (cusp of GameLit and LitRPG). The MC progresses in a weak-to-strong manner.
Publishing schedule: Twice a week (Sunday and Thursday). Chapter length: ~2000 words
