While in the midst of working on herself, getting prepared to finally get out on her own and start living life, after 37 years of being under the control of an abusive mother, and putting failed relationships behind her, Malory gets a ping from the gods, dreams, ideas, and synchronicity out the wahzoo pointing her in the direction of a man in the midst of needing help with his life. With the only method of communication being spiritual, she struggles to help as much as possible, finding his promises to help her in life falling short as time goes by. Left wondering what the point was, she nurses a broken heart and a heap of disappointment, trying to figure out why it seems that she wasn't good enough to be loved and how she can feel ok by herself.
