In an unknown world, deep within the underground there are monsters.
Monsters that have threatened every sentient living being on that particular world.
Two years ago this whole world suffered an abnormally strong earthquake. Many kingdoms lays in ruin, countless people died and many more suffered both physically and emotionally. Hundreds of thousands went missing after the earthquake leaving those that still live in pain and misery after losing their loved one.
Worldwide search and rescue operation was launched right after most of the kingdoms stabilized their situation. Barely a week, a large door was found at a large crack of a mountain. After removing a large amount of rocks, the whole door was revealed. All those present gawked at the unusually large door having a height of more than ten meters tall and more five meters wide.
Sure the size of such a door would leave a few people pondering and questioning as what kind of creature that would use such a large door but the main reason lay in the fact the gigantic door was made of gold. Imagine how much gold right in front of them that some of them swore to whisper to them begging to be taken by them.
Aside from gold, the runes and some other decoration on the gigantic door seems to be precious too. Especially the blood red rune that seems to hold considerable mana within them.
After a few days, the kingdom sent a few official along with a team to safeguard the gigantic door while conducting research at the same time. Not long after words spread that the blood red rune are actually an extremely rare and valuable material called Metanox. A metal prized for their mana conductivity being twice as high compared to Mithril.
Since it is few in quantities, the Metanox would usually be melted before being inscribed in the form of small runes on a very precious treasure. Based on the size and amount of runes present on that gigantic door, it is presumed to be more than enough Metanox to forge tens of greatsword and still have some to spare.
This news spread to all parts of the world, inciting the very greed of many people of all sort of power and background. Even the neighboring countries lord as well as most of other sentient species were drawn in to witness this prized metal or rather to pry it from the door for their own possession.
Before the situation rise higher and develop into war, the lord of the kingdom the gigantic door was situated in made an announcement, allowing any party from every part of the world no matter their alignment. The kingdom proposed a treaty with all forces of the world including those of vile orcs and dark elves. Those that start an attack on any kingdom would then be attack by all that is in the treaty and everything would be divided equally to every other kingdom. But to take part in trying to pry the precious metal out of the gigantic door would only be charged a small participation fee of 10 gold per party for a total of three tries.
Anyone with a brain would gladly pay the meager amount of 10 gold rather than risking an attack from all the other forces in the world for something that you can't even be sure to obtain. Why else would that particular kingdom decides to sell that precious metal for 10 gold.
If you don't have the ability to take it and keeping it for yourself would risk war, why not just make a profit of that damned thing.
Surely every other leader had that thought crossed their mind. This in turn increased their curiosity even more. A kingdom can't even pry out a rune from a door? Or even dismantle the whole door? Sure it might be huge, gigantic even. But isn't it just a door? Who knows how many years has it been since the door have been created and placed there.
Surely the cruel passing of time have left a mark on it. Unless whatever creature that made the door still live and could still preserve the door to it's pristine condition that no one could pry the rune away. The thought of such a creature still alive sends shiver all over their body. How powerful and wealthy would one be to make a gigantic door out of gold and inscribe numerous and huge runes over it with such a prized metal of Metanox. Isn't it such a blatant display of might and wealth? Who would dare provoke that creature's wrath?
It is ironic indeed. Having all that wisdom and intelligence to speculate all the scary situation but still willing to let their emotion lead them. Fortunately they all aren't dumb, giving the opportunity to pry the Metanox to those small adventuring party first. Appearing all good and benevolent by not using their might to bully those small adventuring party testing their luck but in fact scheming and using them as goats to test this muddy waters. Whether or not the muddy water contains a beast that would devour this goat would be revealed in time.
At the second day of prying the runes out of the door an incident occurred. A lone man in his thirties trying his luck with his bare hand suffered an injury. His nail caught on the rune, too much force was used and the result was a nail was separated from the finger and a pained scream ensued. But that wasn’t what caused every people there to be surprised.
Apparently the blood being splashed on the rune somehow activated the runes and brilliant red glow bathed everyone there. Afraid it might be attack or some sort, many people used their defensive spell and treasure but then noticed no damage being done.
Looking all around them in confusion as nothing happened and the red light fading away no one knows what to do until a voice shouted.
“The door. Look at the door! I can read it!!”
And looked they did.
“The small and boring Tomb.
To enter this tomb, simply place your palm smeared with your own blood.
There are countless undead remains such as stinky rotting flesh, normal bones and loud wailing woman who drives people mad they wish they could die.
They are a lot of worthless metal too.
Do note that everything inside this tomb belongs to me and me alone.
Should you enter the tomb, everything you own and possess will belong to me.
Your treasure, equipment, flesh, blood, bones and soul will belong to me too.
Note. Are you stupid? Why would you surrender everything you own to me?
Let us rest in peace. Please.
Warning, the defensive spell is now active. You can't damage this stupid door.
Also note, if you cant even damage the door you are essentially walking to your tomb.
Stupid people. I just want to sleep.”
Everyone became speechless after reading the runes in the gigantic door. Countless different thought crossed each and everyone present. After a long period of inaction and discussion some people got tired of waiting and slash across his palm and then entered the tomb. Countless people followed after him.
Some of the leaders just facepalmed saying. “ Idiots. Are you guys really stupid? There are monsters down there. Monsters which you cant even injure. Have you not thought that if every monster wore an armor made of the same material of this big ass door, how would you fight? Even if they wield just a small round shield of even lower grade than this door. How would you fight? We don’t know anything, how many they are? How strong they are.? It is as this door wrote. Stupid people walking straight into their death.”
Time passed but there are still people going inside the tomb.
Weeks passed and then months passed. There aren't any survivor. All that entered is presumed to be dead. But there would still be people entering the tomb.
A year passed and a stupid greedy lord decided to send a legion of his troops inside. After more than a month there aren't anyone walking back out of the tomb.
Then there were the strongest acknowledged adventurers named Trilogy. Three generation of strongest mage from the same family. Grandpa aged 93, Pops aged 63 and then the Sonny aged 33. They appeared in front of the gigantic door and started casting their most powerful spell, Trinity.
Light's flickered even though the sun was right above them, bit by bit three big magic formation was formed. All the surrounding's light was then directed to the big magical formations. By this point, all the light was redirected and the surrounding became dark as night.
“Behold, holy light of Trinity!” shouted the three of them.
The three big magical formation then released a blindingly bright light at another much smaller magic formation which then released a much more concentrated beam of light which then shot towards the gigantic door.
Moments later the beam of light faded away while the surrounding area's darkness was chased away by the bright sunlight.
The gigantic door still stood there albeit a small dark spot right in the center. Upon closer look it seems that the Trinity spell launched at the door managed to punch a small hole through the previously impregnable door. A look of joy was plastered through the three generations of mages but it didn’t last long.
Unauthorized duplication: this narrative has been taken without consent. Report sightings.
Brilliant red light flashed again but this time just covering the door and soon disappeared leaving no trace of the small hole previously there. The strongest acknowledged adventurers group Trilogy then left only saying that no one can defeat the creature inside as even their strongest spell only managed to do a small damage on that door. The oldest of them also said, here in the blessing of the mighty sun and we can cast the Trinity, but inside there is the domain of the unholy. There is simply no hope of winning.
Unconvinced with all the outcome, the leaders of all kingdom and nation decided to hold a meeting for a joint effort. Even if they cant obtain any treasure they wished to peer into the dark, wanting to uncover the mystery that lay beyond the door. After racking their brains they finally agreed that sending a golem would be the safest.
Making a blood golem that is sturdy enough to not actually be destroyed after entering and actually able to send real time image of the tomb requires plenty of work and material but in a mere month, the golem was completed. They wasted no time and quickly sends it inside and watched the visual feeds through a water screen at the meeting room.
The blood golem placed its hand on the door and nothing happened. Worried that all their effort was for naught some of them began to pray to the gods they didn’t even believed in the first place. Unbeknownst to them, the undead was also watching the golem in front of the door.
*********************************************
“Lord G- Boss. What do we do?”
“Hmmm a golem. How interesting. So there are still some smart people. They want to walk inside without giving me their treasure eh? Turn on the ‘Night Sky' order everyone to gather at the White Hall. When everyone is ready teleport the golem right on the center of the hall.”
“Your will is my command. Wait Lord- Boss. What if while waiting for everyone, the golem walks away from the door?”
“Hmmm make it so that it's arm stick to the door. Wait it’s a golem they can just cut the arm. Absorb the golem halfway inside the door and hold it there. HAHAHA that way they can't do anything. EVERYONE, HURRY TO THE WHITE HALL! WHOEVER IS LATE SHALL BE PUNISHED WITH SWEEPING THE TOMB!”
******************************************
Meanwhile all the leaders were worried of the outcome. Something like the door absorbing a person have never happened. While they each voices out their thought, the always black water screen suddenly changed.
The first that they saw was a bright full moon shining the place. The ground was filled with grass and various beautiful flowers which they had never seen before.
The flowers shined with a purple luster, it is unknown whether they reflect the moonlight or always releasing the purple light. Slowly the golem raised it's head and turned around observing the surrounding. Huge pillar stood from the ground and from the purple glow, various intricate runes exudes the feeling of grandiose. Large statue of various creature stood tall besides each pillar. Each of the statue seemed to hold the pillar and clawed at the night sky as though they wished to grab the moon. Though they are watching from a water screen, the scene before them managed to stop their breath.
That was until they realized that the statues weren't actually a statue but in fact ‘live' creature.
“Did you. View enough? Can. I gaze. Upon your world. Next?”
A rough voice sounded from a skeleton wearing armor while pointing it's finger to the golem. That simple act exuded pressure multiple times greater than the golem could endure. The blood golem then evaporates into thin air.
“It broke? No no no. I still have plenty to say.”
********************************************
In the meeting room, everyone was left terrified of what just happened.
“What was that? What the hell was that creature?!”
“An unholy being that would destroy the world.”
“We can't fight whatever it is, the Trilogy was right.”
“We should deploy plan C. Banish them from this world. Nothing would be left alive should they walk out of the tomb.”
“Is it not our fault to begin with? Invading their tomb like that. Over and over again. If it was my castle being invaded multiple times, I would be furious too.”
“Our fault or not we can't let the creature stay in this world. Everyone present must sacrifice their live in exchange for banishing the damnable creature.”
“I agree.” “I am willing to sacrifice myself for my descendants.” “I agree.”
“I am willing.”
“let's start the preparation.”
*****************************************
“Boss, it seems that they are planning to teleport us away to another world.”
“Hmmm. It hasn't even been five years. This kind of situation would always repeat therefore this irresponsible boss would like to help them teleport us away. Maybe with me directing the spell we would be closer to actually find one.”
“But Boss, the risk is quite high. There are a number of things which could happen.”
“I am aware Pestarimau. That is why I alone should go. The rest of you shall safeguard the tomb.”
Every creature then without any objection answered.
“When we guard, there is nothing except the true God that can destroy our tomb. Lord Waitch, we only hope that you wouldn't abandon us.”
“After all this time, am I not still with you? I'm only going with one percent of my soul anyway.”
“Boss, what should we do if there are any unexpected guess in here while you are away?”
“Be a good host, what I want is coexistence anyway. If the guest threatens our safety, eliminate them. Place my body on the throne. I'm going. See you all undeads soon.
Soon the gigantic door opened.
“Ah right, I should solidify or no one could see me.”
A huge, white skeleton slowly make it's way out. An unholy creature hated by all is now walking right beneath the strong rays of light. It's step is huge and heavy, leaving a huge a deep footsteps where he walked. The white color seemed almost pure and holy but feels terribly wrong upon it. It's speed is fast although looking slow because of his huge figure at around nine meters tall.
A single step of this huge skeleton would cover a lot of distance. No one dares to stop it's path. Everyone just stood there stupefied wondering how could they survive a fight against this unholy being. Contrary to what everyone expects, the huge white skeleton just walked past them without as much as glancing towards anyone and instead continued moving in a single direction.
A short moment later the skeleton merely looked down on a barren hill.
“Greetings. People. Of Land Above. Apologies. Our encounter. Cut short. Golem. Too fragile.”
It’s voice boomed like a thunder, deafening every other sound as if it's voice was the only sound allowed here. Everything else was dead silent. No other creature dared to make a single sound. They stood where they were not moving a muscle. Terrified if the towering bones were to be slighted by any sort of movement they made. A simple greeting seemed like a display of power to all these people.
“How in all the name that's holy did that monster of a bone find us?”
“Was it just me that felt those terrifying pressure when it spoke? How strong is this creature.”
“Surely that unholy creature didn't come for this. How should we react?”
“Allow this old man to have a word with that- creature.”
“Huh? Old gramps? Fine. Whatever you do I believe you aren't stupid enough to upset that thing. Choose your words well.”
Meanwhile the skeleton was perplexed as to what all tiny people planning. Unable to wait anymore it's thunderous voice echoed again.
“Child. Don’t YOU Realize. I could see. Hear everything. I'm not blind. Nor am I Deaf!”
This time it's thunderous voice caused a crack above the barren hill, space distorted and after what seemed to be mirror breaking into countless fragment, all the previously hidden people were revealed. Each of them was kneeled and hold a look of terror in their face. The sheer amount of pressure from it's voice caused them to kneel. The old guy from Trilogy group was the fastest to recover.
Still kneeling he quickly said with a terrified voice.
“i- we apologize for the repeated foolish action of invading your tomb. Please spare our worthless live. I am sure you are a generous god.”
Somehow looking more ferocious, the skeleton lets it's voice thundering again.
“I am no God. Did you not CALL. Me UNHOLY? Yes you. All a FOOL. Teleporting MY. WHOLE. HOME?”
Another booming sound, the pressure magnified so much that all of them, the strongest in this world was prostrated on the ground unable to resist the terrifying power of the skeleton's voice. Before any of them could utter a word, another booming voice is released.
“YOU. PUNY. CREATURE. Do ALL. Of. THIS WORLD COMBINED. Even have ENOUGH MANA TO TELEPORT This single. Totally normal skeleton?! ANSWER ME! ARE YOU ALL DEAF AND MUTE?!”
All the world's strongest individual, group and powerful leader at the barren hill was pressed on the ground so hard the ground cracked. Feeling humiliated at being reduced to floor mat a rage burned in some of them. Using the rage they mustered every single ounce of energy to shout.
“NOOO!”
A single sentence was all the skeleton needed to hear as the pressure was lifted from all of them. The skeleton still remained motionless, only eyeing the people below with a with a menacing aura like a grim reaper waiting the time to reap the ripe soul.
“No, we were indeed foolish to even think of this plan.” A nation leader voiced out his taught.
“So what is it that we should do now to redeem our faults. Or are we all doomed here?” a religion of the world's leader asked.
“God is. Benevolent. You only need to repent.”
A soft voice echoes out. Some people rejoiced hearing that God is benevolent.
“But. I. Am. No GOD.”
Some were so crestfallen they fall to the ground. Some tensed their body readying for a fight and some merely stood still, their thoughts unknown to anyone.
“I. Shall take two years of life from each of you.”
Before they could think on what It meant, It's voice was heard again.
“A Year. Every Sentient. On this World. Shall be. Taken as. Payment.”
“Wh- what? No, please don't take my grandkid’s life. They did noth-" The old Trilogy guy cuts out.
“May this humble lowlife ask what the payment is for? Mister Totally Ordinary?”
A chuckle sounded.
“Fools. Did you not. Want to teleport. ALL of the Tomb. Together with. Unholy CREATURES?”
Still feeling unsure of what the skeleton is saying it's continue.
“I. Will. Teleport. My Home. My self. Idiots.”
“But bu-" the old Trilogy guy again cuts out and whispered.
“Let it be. That creature wants to leave by itself and you want to stop it?”
A couple of small bickering were about to start but was quickly quenched realizing the undead creature is still in front.
Not entertaining those tiny people with tiny brain, the skeleton proceeds to unleash it's magic.
“Feast. Upon your. Tiny Eye. what Real Magic IS. Behold. Dual Cast. Ravishing Life. Greater Mass Teleport.”
Only by raising it's skeletal arm, numerous beautiful magic circle appeared out of thin air and completed at a high speed. Before they could fathom it's magic, a nauseating pain came from their guts and throbbing at their skull. It was life which was taken from them. A sudden feel of lethargy spread all over their body and drain all the energy they had but their eyes still lock to that gigantic skeleton.
Some sort of energy are seen gathering at the skeletal left hand before entering it and black aura spreads from the skeleton and wrap the gigantic door and even the whole underground tomb.
“Destination : Heimm (Home)”
With that, the huge skeleton vanishes along with the gigantic door and presumably the entirety of the undead forces along with the tomb.
