In Votivo, there are many gods and demons; the world has been wrapped up in their palms, dancing their mortal armies against one another in a constant struggle for who will control it all. The goddess Voluspa, however, deigns to change this cycle: she brings a soul from beyond their cycle to become a new guide. This soul, Votif, lived a life filled with misadventure and bad choices... now it's up to him to keep Voluspa's future champion, Wick, safe from the dangers of Votivo both demon and even god-spawned. Despite his new job, however, Votif quickly finds out that Wick's potential isn't just for show. A Candle For Wick is a series commissioned by the fans and readers, acting as my first departure from traditional story writing and creating a piece purely to a commissioned standard. Inspired by the themes found in my prior concept playpen Evolution Barricade, this story will last so long as it is paid for. Story originally commissioned by the user knightaether.
