Eva Mordred, the human empire's most talented soldier, was sent to die on the front lines as a child. An enemy vampire general found her, and after watching her throw her life away day after day from the enemy side, decided to spare and take her in. 7 years later, Eva, now a half-blood, gets sent away by that soldier to escape forseen doom. The former is awesome. It's a really good story of "mana as a science". And despite having the most generic name ever, it's anything but. Please give it a try. It reinvigorated my love for fantasy.
