Prolougue: A young disciple finds out from a letter delivered by the mail (disguised agent) that his last remaining sibling, a younger sister, wants him to attend their mother's funeral, after the valkyrie general died in battle against the fast crumbling western empire. The last letter he'd received called for his help to join in the battle, however, the monk master of his sect forbade it, tasking him to defeat the entire school body at once if he thought he stood a chance (he didnt and failed.)   Now that his mother's dead and many of his siblings captured or slain he blames his teacher and himself for listening to him. In the dead of night, he rises to leave, but is stopped and confronted by his teacher and former classmates who have uncovered the identity of the fake mail man. Losing his fear of death, combined with his master's teachings and his teacher's ailing body and soul, the young pupil/master manages to kill his teacher in single combat, taking the messenger with him and leaving the monastery.
